Open Downpipe, sounds loud, but my rev limiter is set at 3.5, now my BOV is not blowing off loud like it should , its a RFL is that cuase when i rev it, i only get it to 3.5, i havent driven it yet, just turned it on and reved it some. Also looks like some oil i can see just below the flang for the oil inlet, but i cant see where its leaking from. Im gonna have to wait till i get my Slim fan installed to drive it and see whats going on with the BOV, i have it T d into between the fuel pressure regulator and the intake manifold

oh yea, but i did put my hand over the bov and when i rev it to 3.5 it does open and some air comes out, i guess its not boosted fully so its not blowing off like it should i have a t3 48 whatever, internally gated 10 psi,

 

it'll be louder when you drive it.

 

im a little scared like a bitch lol, this is the first thing i have ever done or seen turboed that wasnt made turboed. so im worried when i rev it, i keep thinking its the engine making the noise, but its the open downpipe, loud as ----, didnt think it whould be that loud, smells funny too

 

you'll need a little more load on the engine to get that BOV to go off.

wait till you start driving it.

 

you'll barely hear it with open downpipe.

 

It need a load on theengine to make much noise. Most BOV can't chuck at idle, unless the turbo is a little ihi or t25.

Things will smell a little funny due to paint, oil and other stuff burner of your parts and it may smell a litlle funny until you tune.

 

why is your rev limiter 3500, or you have launch control on? yeah, unless you rev the ****, like near red line, out of it, your bov won't usually open from a rev. also, like mentioned, it takes a while to burn off all the oil/paint/etc. that is on everything from the install and what not. drive it and let us know how it does.
