Input on the Probe I-Beams??

Cant wait on the TT rods no more... Temptin to get these Probe ones from Egay for my D build, but I wanna know a few things first:

1. Has anyone ever used these?
2. What are your thoughts on them?
3. 8740 ARP rod bolts = how many HP??
4. Claims to be light weight, true?

I-beams tend to be used more for high rpm motors than heavily boosted motors. Look at the construction of a standard honda rod...I-beam configuration, just not in a nicely forged package. H-beams on the other hand supposedly can't take as much rpm abuse, but handle higher power loads better.

anything is better than stock. I got some Scat rods w/ ARP2000 bolts for 289 through ebay. Buy the peace of mind I guess.

i got the same rods on ebay as well. Make sure you check the slots for the bearing "tangs" on each rod and cap. mine were to narrow and i had to send my rods back to Scat to get them fixed.

its hard to see but the bearing wont fit in right, make sure you double check them. it would be fucked up if you got it all together and the motor failed because of this.

really? I just put some bearings in a set of scat rods I just bought and I thought that little tang thing fit in kind of funny on one or two rods, I torqued them onto the crank and they seem to fit in fine now, I wonder if its somthing I should be worried about.

My rods were fine. Motor was finished a few weeks ago. I'm hitting them with 15 tuned psi daily.
