Injector Pulse m/s?

ok.
now at 500rpm with 450cc injectors they are doing. 1.1m/s at 25hg (idle)

alright, now how does this work. what is the max m/s a 450cc injector can do. is it 15m/s before it becomes oversaturated or something?

also will all fuel maps be about the same, or do the depend on when the turbo spools.

lets say turbo A spools at 2000rpm
turbo B spools at 4000rpm

injector's m/s will be higher on turbo A @ 2000rpm correct, compared to the turbo A's m/s at 2000rpm

this is really hard to say right ----!! >:(

i guess this would sum it up "will a fuel map for a 14b be the same as a t3 on the same motor?"

I take it you're dealing with a Honda ECU? Minimum pulsewidth they can handle is 1.08 ms.

reg22's link is very good... with how fast the engine is spinning at redline the injector is open all the time around ~15 ms. Passing 85% duty cycle isn't anything you should do on a daily driver.

Re:Injector Pulse m/s?

wouldnt duty cycle change for the size of injectors u are running?

or is that chart for all injectors but what differs is the size squirt then push for that m/s.?

like 1ms on 450cc will do 450cc's?

and 1ms on a 1000cc will do 1000cc?

Re:Injector Pulse m/s?

I would think that if the injectors are larger than stock, the duty cycle would have to slow. In order not to bogg you down. Unless you compensate by increasing spark.

Are you modifying your ignition tables as well?

Re:Injector Pulse m/s?

yes. and i am trying to wrap my mind around injector pulses, rpm, duty cycle.

like. if you got 10psi at 5000rpm. with 450cc injectors.. i see u would use 11.60m/s (on a d16)

now. is there any kind of calculation for determining this or is it just trial and error?

Re:Injector Pulse m/s?

Your guess is as good as mine. I'm working on learning how to map, myself.

If you do find a formula, post it. I'd be interested in knowing how to calculate it.

Plus, if there is one that you can calculate fuel pressure, and duty cycle, to get ignition pusle that would be great also. ;D

Hey shorty do you have a book called "Maxium boost : desighing ,testing and installinga turbocharger system" im sure they have a chpt. in there about injector size or have a forlmula for it im sure that would help clear up some smoke.
