Info on VW 1.8T Turbocharger?
 

Anyone know anything about what kinda turbo the newer VW Gti 1.8T's use? Friend at the towing yard has a nice smashed one:)

I'm sure its a KKK turbo, but I dont know what exact model it is.

im pretty sure thats a k04 turbocharger

super teeny!!!

next step up i think is the k05, then k25, then k26, then k27

porche 944's some 911's and auidi 5k's had the k26 and the k27's were found on 911's

from what ive heard on em there too small for the VW super inefficient 1.8l so i wouldnt really recommend them for hondas, unless you went twin turbo or sumthin hehe

contact sirex on this board. he has the 1.1bar program on the ----- little k03 sport turbo. he can give you all the specs.

The turbo would probably work just fine for a D-series project.
