Individual Throttle Body AND T3 Turbo w/ DSM 2g 450cc......questions!
GUYS! I saw the write up of the ITB conversion onto a b16? or b18?? and i am going to do it to my d16z6. I already have the parts, just need to get a day off work :P anyway, i was planning on running a Turbo setup: T3 .60/.63 A/R. All i would have to do is adapt the forced induction tube to the throttle bodies and it should work correctly right? This is going to be a slow process, over the next two months i plan to have injectors, cam, valves, port and polish, valve springs. I read the write up on DSM injectors also, and i'll be getting 450cc 2g injectors. However, it said i could get a 'box' off a honda with peak and hold injectors? because mine are saturated, they won't work correctly if i just 'hook them up' Right? So what year honda do i get the 'box' off of? and will it work correctly with my setup? (cam .45'' lift, 10.0:1 comp ratio, 13psi boost, ITB conversion) Thanks a TON for whoever even READS this long *** post :P
Thanks! -Joshua |
Re: Individual Throttle Body AND T3 Turbo w/ DSM 2g 450cc......questions!
the injectors in obd1 honda are saturated while dsm's are peak and hold.
the box you are thinking of is a resistor pack, which has to be added so you dont fry your ECU. basically, any honda that had peak and hold injectors will work. 88-91 civic/crx and some preludes had them. otherwise you can just wire inline resistors into each of the 4 appropriate injector wires. |

Just get a Ross Machine universal Intake Plenum for 60 on ebay and weld that to the itb's and you'd be set.
