Immmmm stumped
So, I have a 96 sol si....I have some parts for a turbo project but im not sure if I wanna turbo the y8....I want to have a 12 second street car...Would the cheaper and better way to achieve this be a b series swap, or should I throw some money in the y8? I need opinions...
Thanks |
Re:Immmmm stumped
get a b series much better platform to boost

Re:Immmmm stumped
Yes, the B-series would make it 100 times easier

Re:Immmmm stumped
Thinking of going with a nonvtec b18b so I dont have to worry about vtec screwing up (oil squiters, etc.) and running 12 psi on the street 20 on the track (built engine).....Sound good???

Sounds bee-aayyy-uu-teee-ful! I'm still rockin the Z6 anyway. No B series love here.

Re:Immmmm stumped
Del Slos are pretty heavy, I'm sure you already know this, check out honda-swap for the exact weight. I have one :-)

Re:Immmmm stumped
Weight is 2414 stock, I bet its down to mid 2300s.

Re:Immmmm stumped
Dont bet on it... Del Sol's are pretty heavy. I know because I have one... ;D
But yea a B-series would be SO much easier to hit 12seconds, but you'll need about >280hp to the wheel, which is doable with a built LS... =) |
