I'm new...turbo a d15???
 

hey guys, im new to this forum and got a question for ya. hopefully this isnt one of those questions that youve been asked 5000 times and are sick of it.. but oh well. i have a 93 del sol s. its a d series motor and i need more power. ive already done aem cold air intake, dc sports 4-2-1 headers, and a greddy catback exhaust, you can check it out on www.cardomain.com/id/airjordan223. anyway i need more power. and i dont really have enough money to do a swap. would it be worth to turbo it? or should i just keep working and wait a while for the money for a b18c swap? if i do turbo, what kind should i get? any info would be great. thanks

Its worth turboing. Low boost and you will be fine and the car will go a lot better. Sounds like you need to do a lot more research. Good luck and happy trails.

LOL good luck finding a stock b18c1 that will put 200 to the ground. You will be lucky to see 160 to the ground.

why the hell pay $4100 usd for a motor that will put down about 180whp and like 50lbs/ft when you can turbo your d15b7 @ like 5-7 psi and make ~140 and 120lbs/ft for like $800 usd and be super fun to drive?

you can always swap for a d15b or a d16z6 and run ~10psi and make over 200whp and 200lbs/ft if you want..... those 2 swaps are like 500usd plus the $800-$1000 usd for the turbo setup

you're on a turbo site, we're gonna direct you to go turbo........... and remember, a turbo D is more powerful and way more fun than ANY stock N/A b-series swap will ever be if you what you're doing......try researching

i wouldn't say you could get it for that price if you couldn't..........you need to know EXACTLY what YOU need for your setup and you HAVE to really search around for deals (part here, part there kinda thing)........this is HOMEMADETURBO, we're all about deals.

ya dont give any money to ssautokrome..
go to pick u part and get most of the parts for 100 bucks.
the best hmt setup is the one you build yourself. you will learn alot in the process.
