After :'( alittle about my current turbo situation, i found someone with a turbo out of a 2001 Audi !.8t! ;D My question is, how hard is it going to be to swap my existing turbo to this one??? Will i have to manufacture anything? I'm picking it up tonight ;D

that turbo is really small, but you should tell us what turbo you already have, so we can help you out.

Re: I'm getting a 1.8 T turbo!!!

If you guys would keep up with current events and read my previous posts, you would know what turbo i have!!! But after inspecting the 1.8 t turbo and the nissan turbo i have on the carnow, i'm better off just rebuilding a complete new mani, downpipe.

Question- what gauge steel should i use to build the exhaust manifold and downpipe?

Current Events? There is like 132090823082123 Turbo kits on HMT, How are we supposed to know the specs of each one!!!

Turbo is too small! I wouldn't even run it if it was free!

Re: I'm getting a 1.8 T turbo!!!

Yes, the turbo is smaller then my fist, but it can produce some crazy boost!!!! :S I just cxan't understand how something this small can produce 16 psi???? I'm not sure yet if i'm going to put it on my car yet, i still need to tinker with my current turbo and the oil problem at hand, but i'm tempted in building my own manifold! We'll see what happens.

Re: I'm getting a 1.8 T turbo!!!

16 psi? psi has ---- to do with it! I was running a 60 trim t3/t4 on a b16 at 16 psi, and my boy was running a sc61 on a b16 at 10 psi, and I never beat him
look at a dyno comparison, the psi has nothing to do with the power, its all about CFM's
