Re:ihi or t25??

i have the same question [lol]
i also have a ihi rhb5, but everyone i show seems to say dont install it & settle with a t25..
is the ihi really that small??
i hear that it has a very fast spool up, yet cuts out of power well before my 7,200rpm on my ZC, correct??
will i regret having no top-enp boost??
thanks

Both turbos are very comparable. They both spool about the same speed. The wastegates are set at the same spot. The IHI is a bit easier to install. But if you build the kit for a T25 later down the road when you want to upgrade to a 14b, its pretty much a direct bolt on.

Either or, I honestly would go with the cheapest.. :)

Both should pull to 7000, but anything after it will just fall off.

thanks jeff, seeing thats the case, i may just install the ihi & see how we go. if i was to upgrade & go the t25 or t3/4 route in the future, what would i need to do besides making up a new adaptor plate, dump pipe ect??
thanks

IHI are water and Oil Cooled , I only hooked up the Oil lines, coolant lines seemed to be more a pain than anything, just let you car idle a little when you park and you should be ok, thats all I am doing.

You could also install a turbo timer ,or I am useing my car starter to let idle/cool the turbo.

Its best to hook up the coolant section of the turbo, for longevity. It is really bad to not hook up the cooling section when they were designed to have flow through that chamber. But I do know people that do not run them and havent had problems. It really isnt tough to do guys.
