IHI RHB52 VJ11 turbo help

hello, i've read a few turbo projects with the ihi rhb5 turbo. I manage to obtain one from the junk and had her rebuilt last week. I ran into a problem with the piping. I wanted to use 2" aluminum pipes but the turbo outlet measures at 1.75-1.77". Is there a way I can use a 2" coupler on the outlet? Like cut about 1" of the stock rubber hose and wedge that btwn the 2" and the outlet? man that sounds so ghetto.....has anyone tried that?

EDIT if it matters Its going on a 1990 civic dx hatch

looks like home depot/plumbing couplers to me.
or you could use some 1.75" hose and reduce your 2" pipe to 1.75" on that end.

ok, I could order a 1.75"->2" siliocne reducer but its $25+20 shipping to canada >:(, so I'm trying to look for alternatives to use. thanks for your reply i'll check out home depot and hopefully find something.

I used a 90 degree street elbow from the depot. its like a 1.75 inlet with a 2.25 outlet. works fine for me

alright i went to home depot, they only had 1.5->2" or 2 to a 2 and nothing else. this sucks, I'll try other hardware stores.

I got a rubber intercooler pipe from a DSM stuck it in the microwave to make it soft and shoved the pipe in. :6
