IHI RHB52

bro's out there,

i need some help really. I've replaced 2 units of IHI RHB52 in 6 months period. It keep dying on me (white smoke). now im thinking to change to other type of turbo. Be it journal bearing as long as the size about Td04.

What other turbo can i change to which share the same flange design?

Like an RHB52 from a T-bird? They are T3 flange.

if it's just oil getting past the seal's, you might have a bit too much oil feed pressure.

I have thousands of miles on my pair of RHB5s on the stang. The internals seem simple and robust. Too much oil in or constricting out or crankase pressure in the oil pan will make em spit oil

hm.... the problem that i face may not be turbo condemn but over high oil press huh?

not sure does this info helps but the white smoke was disperse out from my muffler instead of the turbin itself.

hi bro,

i dun think so as the flange was triangle shape with 3 bolts nuts.

The tbird units have a regular T3 inlet flange. On the outlet, they are different from the garretts.
