ihi rhb5 spool....
I'm wondering if i remove the wastegate how much psi a RHB5 from a mazda mx-6 can spool?

Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
first of all...dont do that. it will probably hit a decent amount of boost, although it wont be nearly efficient
|
Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
then if i put a maual boost controler... what would be the hight boost of this small turbo?
|
Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
on what car?...im sure on a honda it will spike really high but only hold like 10 psi or so...but i have no idea

Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
they are suppose to be good for up to like 15psi, but ---- it.
get something bigger if you want more power. nathan |

Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
yeah...
what kind of hp are you putting down with that turbo? and what motor/setup? |

Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
The stock wastegate will get you 7psi with good exhaust, with an MBC I wouldn't try to hold 10psi since the spikes you will get can get up to 12 or so pounds. I don't know about you but on a stock engine (as I am assuming) I wouldn't wanna take that chance. Use your MBC to hold at 8 with spikes around 10.

Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
i thought the mbc was supposed to help stop boost spikes?
|
Re:ihi rhb5 spool....
they do somewhat ..but cheapies don't help too much
go read the new MBC thread it offers a lot of insight |
