IHI rhb5 (probe/mx6) hits boost threshold at?

so for those that use the ihi rhb5 from a probe/mx6... when does the turbo hit full boost?

what motor are you using?

for those that "up" the boost... when does the compress start to "wheeze" out on the top end?

thanks

stock they boost 8psi. they ---- out at ~14psi from what i have seen from MX6/Probe owners.

that turbo is fine for a D15/16 but i wouldnt put it on anything that revs high (well i wouldnt do it again ::))...

so what do you consider high revs? 4agze w/ 8.0:1 c/r and a 7600 rpm rev limit... i think the turbo from the impulse i plan on grabing is a tad larger... maybe that'll help me out

well i had one on a ZC, DOHC 1.6L. and that turbo did not like reving to 7500rpms, just didnt flow on the top end. i know nothing about toyota engines though, might be ok, you will just have to give it a try...

4ag motor = the ORIGINAL high reving multi valve econo motor :) before honda, before VW before every other econo box w/ a multi valve motor :)... circa 1983 design, dohc 4 valves per cyl (the norm today, at the time it was VERY advanced) veriable lenght intake manifold " (to boost air velocity to help boost the low end tourqe that 1.6L motors are never known for) and a 7500 rpm redline :) a weak 112 hp and something like 92 ft/lb of tourqe... this motor is still used in the toyota atlantic series... you honda boys should thank toyota... if not for them you'd never have your belovid DOHC multi valve motors
