Default IHI on DOHC engines

i found a IHI turbo off a auto turbocoupe. no shaft play at all and spins real nice with my fingers. what do you guys think about it on my b18a1.

the other turbo i had was bigger and spooled completly @ 2.5k rpms. so i dunno when this will spool prob 1.5k lol.

its a t3 flanged IHI... any thoughts about it on a 1.8l DOHC engine?

Should not have to worry about blowing it by over-reving...rotflol...

BTW... I have one which I considered also for low boost only.

ive used the subie one on my b18 91 integra, spooled completly to 8psi by 2300 rpm. lost a little up top, but it was a GREAT turbo to just drive around with. fells alot like a higher hp b18. there is almost no perceptable lag at all. i say go for it, its fun.

I say go for it too.

The bigger IHI in the T-Bird can run at 15psi all day long on a 2300 cc so I'm sure it will work fine on a 1.8. That car came with either of two turbos, a T3 with I believe 60 in/63 out or the IHI, the IHI had a lot less lag and delivered almost as much HP.

Good luck
