Ideas on my setup

Hi i have a d16a6 with a t-bird turbo, it was going good for a week or so but with over 230,000 miles i blew somthin. Now iam going to go y8 head with comp springs and plan to boost around 10 psi. Now i need help on bottom end i want to use viatra pistons so i will have a low comp do you think i need forged rods or would stock be ok, also do viatra pistons need to be machine pressed onto pistons, sorry for long post please help

First question, what did you blow? Did you tear the engine apart to see what it was?

Also IMHO, don't use Vitara pistons. Do it right or don't do it at all, forged is the way to go. Don't use stock rods, I'd recommend Eagle or something of the like.

no i didnt tear it apart yet its like 2 out side live in WI, but white smoke is pouring out, why not use Vitara pistons, iam kinda on a low buget, i now it has been covered before but a stock a6 could handle 220 hp right, my only promblem would be high comp

where does the smoke coming from? if its exhaust, then all it might be, is head gasket. thats what i had on my civic.
