Don't let the 16 valve valve cover fool you, this is a d15b8 from head to toe. The engine is tired and it smokes, anyone want to donate a d16?

i have not gottin the bumper back on in those pics its on now and fits nice and yes they dont like missing front bumpers in this state or no front licence plate i mite add as well.

Looks good. I think it looks better without the bumper. Get some cardboard or something cause that other bumper looked worse then a chick with a set of meat curtains.

I tried to get him to cut holes in his bumper bone, but he wouldn't have it :)
Yeah i'm guessing the car is putting out like 120 to 130 at the wheels, i bet he would get near 30 whp from a simple head swap with a decent oem cam. I also don't think the injectors are maxed yet, the car still runs pig rich since we haven't put a wideband in it yet. To my knowledge my brother said the injectors were 310 (out of a mazda 626 turbo) i've read the newer years were 330's however. |

A 1.3 Ltr Suzuki with 10 PSI boost make arround 120-130 BHP weight is 800 Kgs.
Stock is 65-70 BHP. BTW there is a debate that 8 valve heads are better than 16 valve heads in some departments. Any thoughts. |

Any thoughts. 2 less valves machined into head (although it has the marks for them) smaller intake manifold and a 40 mm throttle body, versus a dx 56 mm ports are the size of nickels at the end of the head.... so i don't think the 8 valve pm casting is better than the 16 valve pm3 casting. |

I have that same motor, w/ smaller crank journals and a 5k rev limit, I'll just wait untill I get another motor, but how knows i might ---- it and man the ---- up, son.

i dont know how many have compared d15 rods to d16 rods....they aren't that much different. With tuning i would say the d16 rods can hold 40-50 more whp max. Zer0daze ran over 200whp on a high compression stock rod d15 (it blew up after a boost spike) |

never mind, I have a crappy ass b6. The bottom end on this thing is WEAK! pointless to boost. what the hell does the b8 come from?
Throw a a6, b2, or b7 head on that thing. |

Funny The G13 Suzuki Swift I have is an 8 valver carbed setup thats suposed to put out 65-70 BHP. The same engine with a 16 Valve head released as the MPFI Esteem also makes 100 BHP.
THen they released the Baleno which is 1.6 Ltr 16 Valve which is their best engien here. These make a little more power. Piston size is 74mm for the 1.3s and 75mm for the 1.6s What are your piston sizes. Our manifold though carbed has provisions what are blocked off for individual Injectors To squirt directlly over the valve Im thinking of hooking up the Alky /Water injectors here. |

when i got my cx, it had a burnt valve so slapped a spare z6 head on it with a y8 head gasket just to get it to run on all four agin. while it was apart in the garage i said WTF and put my turbo kit on it from my del sol with a chipped p28. 10psi every day, and i rev that poor bastard 7k!!! it smokes a little, but hell it gets me back nad forth to work while i finish up the sleeved cr-vtec i'm putting in the sol.
