Default IAVC help

Well like I was saying before, when I would start my car, I would idle at 5k, now I check all the lines, no leak, and I tuned the afc correctly (to the best of my knowledge), and still revvin to 5k. so i decided to take off the charge piping, still the same thing...I hooked it back upo, and took off the IAVC, and presto! no more 5k, but now I am idleing between 1500 and 1000, but when I give it gas, it is ok. So my question is, do I need to modify my IAVC becasue of boost? or does it have something to do with the afc? Help a nukka out...
