i want to put a TE04H on my 2004 civic LX

Yo, do u know anything about the D17A1?

Thats the engine my car comes with ... its brand new so i would like to run it until it dies.

So i was wondering if i make a custom turbo kit for it with a TE04H and about 9 psi.. are there any problems that this engine might have or any complications?

If anyone knows anything about this engine or how a turbo might affect it then please AIM me or reply to this post.

Thx For Any Help Guys...
My Aim is w0otsears - the 0 is a zero.

I know with the newer civic si's the fuel system is odd to work with if you plan on using an FMU. But if go for the AFC Hack it mite work. Get a Hf manifold and see if it will work. Experiment

HF won't bolt to it... D17s use a new pattern.

However, I have seen kits for sale for your car... that include everything you need to run like 10 psi, from some garage shops. Let me see if I can find those sites again, I think Revhard made a kit -> it could at least give you some ideas of what parts you need (if you want to do it the HMT way). What you might consider doing is getting an exhaust gasket for your car, and seeing if you can find someone to custom fabiricate a manifold for you. Thats essentially the hard part. You'll have to look at what these turbo kits do as far as fuel management, because I know that your 2002+ civics use some very complicated ECU advancements (in fuzzy logic) but what can you expect? They're honda's :)

If manufacturers can do it so can we. Do it yourself fuel management has come a long way. Chipping obd2 ecus isn't possible yet but there are many ways to control fuel other than that. In theory the AFC hack should work for this car as any other, unless the ecu has some special way of running a test on the injectors or something.
