i think my MAP is F'd up...

all of the sudden my car started stuttering...especially high in the RPM's. When the check engine light comes on it blinks once, then pauses and blinks 3 more times. i have a 90crx si using the afc hack. why would my MAP be acting up? How can I fix this? When the CEL come on it goes into limp mode. Im only runing 5 pounds too. Thanks

hey man mine did the same thing. i thought my map was fucked, but it turns out it was my vafc. make sure all the wires are in properly. but it could very well be your map sensor.

could a bad o2 sensor cause this? cause right when i finished my turbo setup it did the same thing and i replaced the o2 sensor and it ran fine. maybe i just keep fouling o2 sensors? please help..thanks.

i think stock crx O2 sensors suck donkey balls. i've gone through a few of them, and i know people who also keep getting code 1. i STILL to this day get code 1 every once in a while. as far as the map check your afc map connection, it probably got loose.

The O2 code will also get thrown if your head gasket leaks water into the cylinder ( adding water to the mix increases the O2 in the exhuast and the O2 sensor reads it as "running lean" ).

About 3 of my friends are always complaining that they " F-ed up another map sensor" by boosting it, which is insane with low boost, the stock map is perfectly happy running upto 12psi, then it still isn't going to die, just run into a voltage output limit.
