Smallest turbo I can think of off the top of my head would probably be from the Suzuki Swift GT http://www.turbinetech.ca/photo/turbo3/turbo.jpg Closest pic I could find of it. |

Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
Lots of small turbos out there.
In the mid 80s there was a fat import tax on motorcycles over 750cc.. You can find small turbos of that era 500-750cc bikes.. Dunno if they're worth a darn though. Many forklifts are turbo.. small industrial motors. |
Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
also, 1l daihatsu stockers could be a goer :-) there were other small jap cars with boost too.
having said that, you have a high revving engine there. sure you wanna choke it with something tiny? you want it to match the hp, not the CC rating. |

Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
I'd check into an IHI turbo setup. I managed to find one that needs to be rebuilt. I asked around and some say it came off an old 80's Toyota truck. I'll see if I can get a picture for ya. :)

Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
how would those turbos work on a 1300cc 75hp engine?

Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
Try to find a turbo from a 87 Chevy Turbo sprint. My dad had one when I first started driving, the turbo is so small, it looks like if you farted in it, it would spool... I believe it's the same from the swift like a few posts up. Good Luck.

Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
I've seen SMART turbo's on ebay a few times. If you looked into it, the smart cars have had 4 engines, three turbo 600 700 800cc and 999cc (NA). That turbo at 12-18psi would be great for your engine, assuming its similar to the smart's 6500 rpm redline. A GT12 would be good for lots of power (laggy), and a Gt15 might be too big. If your 600cc can spin really high, a GT15 might be nice.

Wonder if a lawnmower could spool one of those little suckers.

Re: i need the smallest turbo you can find!!!
gt15 would be too big IMO
Go with a GT12 if you want to buy brand new. $550 ish A geo/chevy/suzuki sprint/metro/swift turbo is a RHB32. hard to find these days. I turbo'd a DRZ400. Dyno'd at 60hp. Stock is 35hp. It spools up OK, but not all that fast. If it was a GT15, I don't think it would spool by redline at higher boost |
