I need to know... turbo + B16
 
Hey guys, i was looking at swapping my d16 for a b16, but i wanted to spend some money into building a 400 whp engine, something reliable. I'm going to be going with a t3/t4 and some type of engine management.I have seen somewhere here on others doing the same, but i can't find anything specific, i you could please guide me in the right direction that would be great, and by the way, i did use the search!

Build up the internals, get a good turbo and some good fuel management. Keep looking/poking around. There's a few people who have seen that number on here. Even xenocron hit 300 whp on a STOCK internals B18 Non-vtec. I'd recommend maybe getting a B18C1 or something of the sort. Better base to start off with.

The reason for me using a b 16 is i'm getting for a good price. I would like to know what kind of internals to get and what kind of management, also what do do with the tranny, lsd only or different gear ratio?

you still got alot of reading and research to do. If you still dont know what engine management you're going to use. and what other parts you're going to need and use. Doesn't sound like you're ready to build a 400whp motor.

you could probably hit your goal with the d, but it probably would be cheaper, easier and more reliable with the b. go to tt for the internals and headstuds, hit up lsd motorsports for a clutch setup, and a good size t3t4, and then all you have to worry about is some 750 injectors and a good tune. you should be there.

Yeah, making that kind of power on a a 4 banger its never going to be entirely reliable, you are always going to have a weak link, A LSD would almolst be a must for that kind of power, then its the axles, then its the tranny, then this and that get ready so spend some cash money.
