I need help.. My turbo setup. New Here

Here goes.. I'm new here but i've been trying to figure out what's up with this homemadeturbo stuff.

Im well into purchasing this from someone:

Almost complete turbo kit for any SOHC Honda motor--- Comes with:::: TD05H turbo (no shaft play) HF manifold 1g Side Mount intercooler 1g blow-off vlave *also comes with most gaskets and flanges *blow-off valve and intercooler have attached piping!!!

I dont know if its' the 14b or the 14g turbo at all. Everyone is getting on my back saying that it wont work with my car and all of this other stuff. Im new to turbos.. can anyone offer advice on this stuff with a D16z6 motor?

It will work fine. It won't make you 400HP to the wheels, but it will work. The sidemount would be the downfall of the setup. Too much heat under the hood.

Dont pay too much, sounds like a good start but its not a complete kit either. I wouldn't pay over $200 for everything if it were me.

yea u def dont want that sidemount unless u can cut and and weld and do all the other nifty things of a homemade turbo kit, ive seen some guys put the sidemount in the front of the car and just get 90 degree bend pipes and run 1 pipe from the ic straight to the throttle body. I wouldnt pay more then 300$ for that stuff especially if ur new at it, id save up and get a greddy bolt on kit man, itll save u a lot of time and hassle if u dont know whats going on and want to install it urself

Save up and get a Greddy kit???? Thats the most un-HMT statement I have ever heard. Why, I think that deserves a banning. J/K. But seriously, we're all here to learn to make boost on Ramen budgets, so lets keep the $3000 suggestions to a minimum, huh?

Just read a lot man..I mean like at least 5 hours a day about turbo's and turbocharging search on the net..and you'll be ok to go put your turbokit together and then read sum more about fuel management and you'll be fine.
All good things come to the ones who wait...so don't jump on a turbo kit that someone throws at you...look at it good and use the knowledge you gonna get from all the reading etc..
Good luck man

took me likes 923592359 hours .. about 3 months.. reading, working, getting parts

getting parts = 70% of time

others are the rest...

reading is just past time, you learn every minute.
