you need fuel management. fmu,the hack, (i don't really suggest either of those..they are just options). or uberdata.

go search around threads covering fuel management so you have a better idea

Heres your issue with going OBDI and using Uberdata or Crome. You have a Y7 so that means you have a throttle body mounted IAC valve. Which also means its a 3 wire unit. OBDI ECU's do not support the 3 wire. You will need to switch to a Y8 manifold, throttle body and 2 wire IAC to make it work correctly. The rewiring part is easy. Too bad you didn't show up sooner. I dont do installs anymore. (for free at least.) Your best bet is to setup your own install (where you do the majority of the work because you did all the research first and know what you are doing) and then I'm sure most of the North East HMT guys will attend and give you a hand.

The general consensus is that the majority of the work is done by the same few people everytime. Most of us are sick of putting people's cars together for free. I hope you understand. Your other option is to pay someone to do this. (Hotrex)Josh is generally fairly inexpensive and knows how to install everything. Hes put on a quite a few turbos for the local crowd with really good results. Maybe PM him if you rather pay someone to do it.

Good Luck
David

P.S. if you want to tackle it yourself with some HMT guidence then make a post inGD when you have all of your parts. ALL OF THEM! Then the NE guys can schedule a date.

^ ok so i have a question. i have a y7 also, and i already have a P06 chipped with uberdata. so my question is my car wont run unless i swap to a y8 mani and throttle body to run at all? or will my idle just be bad with the stock y7 mani?

You will throw an IAC code and your idle will surge really bad. Your other option is to make a block off plate for the IAC on your TB and then get a 2 wire and just hang it from somewhere and plug it in. You will have no cold idle though and it may be tough to get it run if it get colder out.

^ damn, so no one with a y7 usually uses the stock intake mani? i know i was gonna swap it eventually but i guess i gotta do it now. does the z6 mani also have the 2 wire iacv?

Dang OBDIIs. Mine starts up and goes up and down and up and down for like a minute or so. Another wierd thing is it will bog really bad sometimes when I start it up. Only happened twice so far. No idea what the story is there.

so are you running a y7 intake mani?

i just need to know if i have to swap the intake mani and throttle body before i even run the car. like will it be driveable. and also will my turbo timer still work effectively, because if the car is supposed to sit at idle for a certain period of time and the idle is goin all crazy.

but yea my main question is will my car still be drivable with the y7 mani and a chipped P06? at least for temporary situations?

talk to hotrex, he does installs in Bristol for people for a fair price.

however, he is 80% gay, and will most likely try to eat poutine from your asscrack
