well i have my turbo on the car but no intercooler, i've been tryin to stay under 5psi. so i need to know can no intercooler ---- up my turbo and or motor

 

I ran 11psi daily with no intercooler. Its all about tuning

 

It will be worth your time to get one in there.

 

yeah i know i need to get one soon, i got some one on hmt modafyin one to fit im just waiting to for it, just wanted to make sure nothing to bad could happen because when i touch the charge pipe and it feels warm. i can wait till i get the ic people have said the turbo will "feel" better (with the ic) thanks guys

really?? how is that? the guy a few replys up said he was boosting 11psi....

 

with no IC you'll have a higher intake air temperature..this mostlikly means detonation..the increased pressure in the cylinder makes for enough heat already..so you don't want hot *** air pooring in there too..get an IC

 

Well, for 5psi or lower I would'nt worry about it. In fact I would'nt be surprised if at that low of boost there is'nt much heat generated and you'd actully loose power by having a intercooler.

 

i agree too and dosent the turbo crysler lebaron sock come non-intercooled.i think you will be ok.

 

I am not argueing that it cant be done, but comparing a stock turbo charged car, to a car that isnt made to be turbo'd is 2 way different things.
