I got a cx manifold, what is a short turbo from the junkyard
I got a cx manifold, what is a short turbo so that I dont have a screwed up oil return?
I dont have A/C and the car is a 90 hatchback. I will have a max of 8 psi and my red line will be about 6.5-7k. The motor is a pos CX, but is free.
I just want to break about 150hp hell 120hp would even make me happy with this motor.
Let me know if yall have any ideas on possible turbos?

a "short turbo" is there such a thing? a t3, 14b, rhb5 (most common turbos used on Junkyard setups) are all about the same. It just depends on how you clock your turbo.
I had a hard time making my t3 fit with an hf mani.No mater how I clocked the turbo it would hit the block
.So I got a differeint mani.
With that mani I would stick to a smaller tubo like an rhb5 or a t25,or 14b.

the cx is the same as the hf. even the california cx one is the same height. a t3 will work fine, the exhaust will face left and you'll have to relocate the wastegate.
(the wg hits the block)
mounting it to the block and using a threaded rod works great.
