I/C and Exhaust welding
 
are the welds MIG? if so can a novice do it? do you guys keep tack welding all the way around until it connects? info and links on DIY I/C and exhaust piping would be really appreciated.TIA

you can doi anything with practicei weldedmy dp with no exp...i just practiced with cutting my stock exaust and welding it back together so i could get used to using a welder

i know how to weld but i do bodywork. not exactly performance welds :-\. you used a MIG?

yeah man use a MIG it'l do a great job, just be sure to clean up the weld area w/ a wire brush.

MIG is great for pipes. Its quick and easy, just make sure you don't drip or burn through too bad. Also, don't use fluxcore wire, make sure you use gas.
