Hey Rolla how's it hangin'?
Man my turbo hasn't arrived yet.
Soon i'll be following your footsteps with the FTB controller.
And possibly blowing up my engine to hehehehe.
I got a spare in the shed...
I wish i could help ya out, but I'm to far away.

Good luck, Semnos!! Good luck. I really hope you don't have to go through the trouble of changing engines!
Heres some more pics for y'all. I haven't torn into the motor yet, I have to get it on the stand first.
The beast!
Another angle.
Here's my buddy Josh who helped me out today.
Josh again, after dark and with that damn motor out.
Today was an absolutely horrible day. The weather was cold, windy, and rainy all day. Absolutely miserable. On top of that, our engine hoist wasn't working right, and we had to ---- with it for like 2 hours to get it to jack high enough to pull the motor out.
Damn though, it's so odd to see your engine hanging 6 inches above your fender. I tore the tranny off and looked at the clutch, the disk is fine, but both the flywheel and the pressure plate had tons of spots showing overheating (thanks to the turbo).
I also looked at the exhaust ports up close and noticed a shitload of oil and crap all up inside cylinder 2. I'm sooooooo extremely curious to see what blew this motor. I hope it was something big like a broken rod or blown piston! I hope my engine went out like a true soldier!
With the FMU, I was actually at 6-8 PSI, and it was doing allright. But damn, 10 PSI, the car just FLEW!!!! It was the greatest feeling... until I broke something. Well, we'll see what it is tomorrow, keep watching, I'll keep giving you guys updates!

Re:I ------- Blew up my Motor Today!
what is the FTB controller? ive never heard of it, i assume it is a type of overall MAP contoller/limiter independent of RPM? also, are you running an intank and an inline fuel pump? it looks like a fuel pump on the left side of the engine in one of those shots...later on man, hope the weather is more cooperative for ya

Re:I ------- Blew up my Motor Today!
FTB stands for "fuel on a trailerpark budget". The FTB controller is a voltage regulator that limits the voltage the MAP sensor gets, allowing you to run DSM 450 injectors and boost, using the stock computer.
Yeah, that's an inline. It's a Walbro that I got from Vortech. I got that because I originally had the FMU on my car.
