yesterday i raced 1/4 mile with 94 hatch with b16/b20 swap. accordingly info on inet he has to have aroung 185 whp. i have 94 sedan with d16z6 with t3 48/42. for fuel management - uberdata. afr under boost - 12.8-11.
and he won, but i thought he will not. =/ why my car so slow? may be reason be in my ghettoest intercooler wich made from and radiator?

You could always buy a "Real" radiator from some members on here. You can find 'em real cheap.

i have around 9 psi. my turbo is t3 42.48. autocrap manifold. internal wastegate is set around 7 psi. i am using apex avc-r. (i dont know but that thing is piece of ----. with his duty cycle i am unable to setup normal boost. it;s allwways spiking). i have radiator as front mount intercooler =) and custom 2.25 exhaust. i have no timeslips, but owner of that b20 hatch sad that his best result was 13.7 sec 1/4 mile. i lost him 5-6 bodies at the end. i thought that i will be at least very near from him. =/

one more thing...I have seen that most EG civic's are faster then EK civic's even with the same setup...I guess the EG maybe lighter

post pics of your radiator FMIC... i swear that wouldn't work unless you put metal around the hole thing to actually hold in air...

I would rather run no intercooler on factory boost than a dang radiator for an IC... wait a sec, how does that work? hmm, so you have 2 radiators? lol sorry but, damn boy.

get a real intercooler, i rather run no intercooler than using a radiator. Even though this place is all about ghetto-fab stuff, but there is a line between ghetto and pure trash. Your radiator/intercooler is pure trash.

94 sedan has a few pounds on a 94 hatch ya know.

2 extra doors. 2 extra windows. two extra seatbelts (the metal areas surrounding them are sturdy don't forget)

I bet all in all you have 500lbs more then him.

Was his car stripped? yours? tires? maybe you aren't as good as a driver as you think you are? LOTS of factors.

if he runs 13.7s you're probably mid 14's which is respectable with your setup.

Re:i am sad about my setup. what i have to work on?

a friend of mines had a B20/VTEC motor in 92 civic hatch.
(B16A head, dual spring retainers, with CTR cams, JE 84mm 11:1 pistons, blue printed/balanced bottom end, JDM ITR 4-1 header, ITR intake manifold, block guard, chipped P-28, 2.75' cat back exhaust)and he ran 13.3, with a better driver the car ran 12.8 1/4 mile, fully stripped interior.

and when people ask what he had, all he would say is, (stock B16A head, stock B20Z block) and the motor looks really stock from honda.

my point is, maybe that car has a fully built motor.

Re:i am sad about my setup. what i have to work on?

That's what i run, It takes me 25,000 miles to get them that way though ;D. but it's worth the wait.

Man i'm an ass...

there is a big difference between slicks and balding tires. Have fun changing your ---- out on the side of the road.
