anyone ever heard of using a wastegate off of a turboed bobcat skid steere? my dad works at bobcat so he can get me a wastegate for free. please lmk.

 

Try it out you little ------. Then post up results. I dont think that swap is as done or as jdm as a b-series swap.

 

i just dont wanna try it and see my motor go kaboom.

 

you would eather make more boost or not. Keep your eye on the boost gauge. Theres nothing that would make your engine blow. Well unless your mind is in ecstasy after your turbo goes past 12 psi....... and keeps going.

 

Just pressurize it with a mighty vac or something and see what psi the gate starts to open.

 

hmm i wonder if the wastegate would be adjustable? i need to ask my dad lol.

 

I'm going to bet those wategates open at a pretty high psi. most diesels run lots of boost. Hell, The JD 4120 tractor I use at work doesn't have a wastegate or anything. Unregulated boost FTW.

 

If your getting it for free WTF is stopping you?
Just take it apart and put a weaker spring in.
