It doesn't matter which way you run the water through it. It'll go both ways. Ditch the banjo fittings and run 3/8 threaded barb fittings.

I got water ports on my t3, I thought they were an option, I never heard reduced life for not using them. I'm only going by what I've read on HMT.

i think that's a crock of ----. Lack of oil will kill a turbo, not too much heat, unless it's a stupid ammount for some reason. You have any idea how hot it gets when you're boosting? i highly doubt the coolant will keep it that much cooler, except when you're crusing or idling. The purpose is for shut down and reliability. Besides, all high performance turbos aren't watercooled anyway.

I was going to but I'm not, but then again I haven't driven my car yet (still fine tuning installation)

you get coolant from the Throttle body or at least that's where I was going to get it.

On my hyundai I took it from the TB. If it is possible to get coolant do it then do it but if not I really wouldnt sweat it that much. We're boosting my friends elantra (06) now too =-) Without the coolant (since its meant for both) make sure to use a turbo timer or just keep it running a few minutes yourself before you shut it off. Definitely let the car warm up before you drive it too =-)

from what iv heard from people who have run coolant and not is it is sapose to help cool the turbo a bit when your are running after use, (turbo timer) so the cooler you get the oil in it befor it sits is saposed to be better for it

just what iv heard, but there prob tghere for a reason because automakers dont like to spend a cent they dont have to

You're better off swapping the motor from the 1st gen Eclipse/Talon. You'll be ahead that way and upgrade from there.

Water cooling help to prevent coking, as does a turbo timer. Take your pick
