Default HX35 split turbine ports ????

so i read somewhere on here a while ago about cloging up one of the turbine ports on the hx35 to make it spool faster or something of that nature. but now i cant find the thread so if someone can find it or just explain here. is this a true statement ? how can it be true if it is ?

Don't do that. bitch won't spool for ---- that way. Read the HUGE holset thread on HT. I have a H1C w/ a The Turbo Trader turbine housing and I get 15psi by 4300.

put cyls 2 and 3 on one port, and 1 and 4 on the other port

Blocking off one side of the turbine will make it spool very fast, you are essentially cutting the AR in half. But it will also be restrictive. There has been a few talks about making a spilt turbine inlet flange with a throttle plate in it, kinda of a ghetto VGT.

i grinded down the little split port piece to a sharp point. looked restrictive as a flat piece there

it is, grinding it down helps spool and top end flow, i believe thats been proven also

Abaz(Jeff) did the blocking off of one port on his split housing and it helped out with spoolage.

yup on blue thunder



those split housings 1.00+ex wont spool literally at all on a D unless you block off one side
