how to tell if you BOV it shot?
I'm running a greddy type-S BOV and it seems that i'm always getting comprssor surge, anything 7psi and the BOV doesn't open right away i get surge for a a second and then the BOV is just like a whistle and doesn't sound normal, I took it apart to look at the piston to see if it was scared up and everythign looked good. So i the piston and put it back together, I've changed the setting from loose to tight and back to loose and still doing the same thing. Is there anyway to test this POS to see if it really is fucked. I'm running the vacuum from the IM.

well if its not working, its F'ed right? if it blows off at all (whistle) you're probably not going to hurt anything.

Did it ever work?
It's pretty uncommon for a piston style BOV to go bad, Lube up the Piston, cut a coil or 2 off the spring and then give it a try. |
Re: how to tell if you BOV it shot?
yeah it used to work fine, but when i blew my last setup it sat around for about 10 months. I do'nt know i plan on ordering a new greddy RS BOV some time in the new future.

Ancient chinese secret: Hook up the lower-nipple to a *BOOST ONLY* source, i.e. turbo or IC piping. Makes it react much faster/better and makes it sound a million times better.
