Default how to seal charge pipes?

ok so all i have to weld my charge pipes with is a stick welder wo/gas. the welds are crappy and have some pinholes.. should i just grind them down and weld over them or just slap some jbweld on them? maybe both i dont know, but when this is done i will be spoolin!

as long as the surface is clean, slap on some jb weld! Then paint over it to make it look a little bit clean.

jb weld turns to liquid at 600 degrees. so dont use it where the engine gets that hot

i hope my charge pipes dont get that hot lol, another problem i have is that the wastegate will be dumping exhaust gas onto the charge pipe (not near a welded section tho).. guess i need to make a dump tube or heat shield.

the wg hits the hood too damnit, i hate obx products!!! i can easily cut the hood webbing to fit it, i just dont like cutting on a $400 carbon fiber hood.

Hey ZexRex, is it an OBX turbo Manifold? Is that why the wastegate hit the hood?

ohhh yaaa thats why it's that pile of ---- manifold.

i used about 3/4 of 2 tubes of jbweld on the charge pipes and they dont look half bad. i mean my welds were so SEXY even the jbweld looks better than they do.

i also jbwelded the bov flange on it was aluminum so i didnt have a choice. its a turboxs rfl.

jb weld is like a liquid (the consistency of bondo) that dries as hard as metal... so hard you can drill it
it comes in two tubes and you mix it to activate it

its just a metal epoxy .. works really good, but its a glue not a weld. its pretty strong but not even near as strong as a weld. if you fuckup you can just break the stuff apart with your hands or a hammer. costs about $2.99/tube at walmart.
