I just got a turbo off of ebay and I need to rotate the turbo exhaust housing...how is it done?? I was told to just loosen the bolts on the housing and rotate it, but it's not budging?? Am I doing something wrong or does it just need force??

 

There is a snap ring on the inside seat. You usually can use need nosie plier but sometimes you need snap ring pliers about 35 buck. But try to get the largest pliers your can get cuz it might not open far enough to get the two points on the snap ring

do ALL of them has that snap ring?
all the housing on mine needed to be rotated

 

this topic has been covered alot a search may help. NO not all turbo's have snap rings. I know for a fact MOST t25's do and a rubber mallet works wonders.

i had to do my rhb5 when i first got it and it finally moved when we put it in a vice and used a pry bar, but we left the bolts in they were just loose.
