how much boost

i actually have a few questions. I have a JDM GSR motor in my hatch. looking at the hp numbers some of the SOHC motors are putting down i'm now regretting changing the motor...( i had a z6 in my 92 cx) but it's too late now...all i can do now is look forward to boosting my b18c. I have a question tho... the jdm gsr comes with 10.6:1 CR, i know people use JRSC's on type R motors and what not, and i know high comp low boost is possible, but how would i go about accomplishing this on a shoestring budget? I'm all for buying it piece by piece, but if i can't do it for a decent price i'm just going to go n/a. I was thinking of a t3 off of a SVO stang or t-bird. but they can make up to 14-15 psi which i think would be too much for my motor. ( i'm guessing) so how would i limit it to about 5-6 psi?

thanks

patrick

Re:how much boost

the t3 off the tbird will work fine. make sure the t bird u pull it from though is a standard shift. so u get the nice .63 a/r on the exhaust side.

u can reduce the amount of boost it pushes by making the actuator arm on the wastegate longer. or u can throw the WG away and use a carb spring attached to the engine. these mods can put you at at psi u want. any more questions postem!
