How much boost?

How much boost can a 1.6 sohc vtec handle with stock internals? i think it's a d16z6 out of the older civics

Some people have boosted over 12psi with stock bottom ends, I wouldnt recommend anything over 10, and thats with some good fuel management.

what do u think about 450cc injectors and a Apexi V-AFC? i was wonderin what i have to replace to push more boost? and how much will i be spendin? and how much boost i can give the engine once i replace whatever i need. is the S-AFC the same price as the
V-AFC?

V-AFC is a little bit more, but not much. The only difference with the V-AFC is that there is VTec control (you can tell it when to go into VTec).

I've been reading a lot of the questions about fuel management, and that seems to be the most frequently misunderstood concept.

From what I have gathered, The setups go in order like this fomr least boost to most boost..

Stock injectors + Stock ECU + FMU = 5 - 6psi

Stock Injectors + Stock ECU + FMU + Fuel Pump = 6 - 7psi(?)

450cc DSM Injectors + SMC or V-AFC = 7 - 8psi

450cc DSM Injectors + Zdhyne/Hondata = 8 - 11psi.

Obvisously, there are a lot of other factors involved. But that's what I have picked up so far from this site.. Does that seem about correct? Are there any changes to that little table?

i'd say you can run 8psi intercooled with a fmu without a fuel pump.
ESPECIALLY if you have a btm.... makes a lot of difference.

im have ran 1bar on my z6 with a greddy headgasket.... soon to go for more, all this on stock internals and no kaboom.... 440inj vafc un-tuned as well

before anybody gets all kiddy about how much boost they ran how big are the turbos, how many cfm's do they flow. people get psi and actualy air flow mixed up alot remember more air is power more boost is just hotter less dense air.
