How To Manage BIG SHOT Nitrous D.

Hey guys. first post.

Figured you guys would know about fuel/timing/spark management of FI setups. Ive also got a dohc zc @6psi in a gutted lexan'd crx hf. Ill talk more about that later.

My brother is building a zc motor (single cam) and hes going with 11.5:1 compression pistons and forged rods, also a pretty nicely built held and all the bolt ons you can think of.

Hes looking for run a 100-150 shiot of nitrous form his Zex dry nitrous kit.

What is the best way to manage his system under nitrous that is easy to tune for a new guy but the pros on the dyno have plently they can tinker with. The cheaper the better

I was thinking S-AFC but will that hold up. I think hes got DSM 550 or 440 injectors.

Thanks for any help.

i dont know if it is so wise as too pump that much nitrous through that comp ratio, i could be wrong tho.

I was told stock sleeves could take 18-20 psi no problem which is the equivalent to a 175-200 shot ( I was told )

The problem I forsee is with the kit itself. When jetting for that many ponies I would definitely go direct port. Also, I doubt the stock injectors can push enough fuel for that much nitrous, and even if they could, they probably wont last long under that high of pressure. Now if you were to put the 450's in there, and couple them with high fuel pressure, I think you will be stupid rich. So basically, I would get a direct port kit.

can stock sleeves on a b16 take 18psi? this guy is saying upto 20psi.

There's no way I would ever run that much nitrous to a D series with a shitty zex kit. At the least you should get a wet kit if you want any chance of survival. a SAFC is not a type of fuel management for nitrous unless you plan on wall washing all the time when your not spraying. Get a direct port. I'll sell you mine already tapped with the 100 shot already in. ;)

A Zex kit is hardly shitty. Its just not created to make the HP this guy wants.

I was never a fan of dry nitrous kits thats why I considered them shitty.

if you're going to be shooting nitrous on that high of a C/R it might be wise to use direct port or at least a wet shot. I personally wouldnt go anything above 75 shot on a dry shot kit.

If you have some dough you might want to invest in NOS direct port system where you just put the direct port adaptor into where the fuel injector holes and WAH-LA direct port nitrous.

Just make sure that thing is tuned and tuned well. That high of a C/R scares me with a 150 shot of nitrous.

Most I've seen a B16 handle is 7psi on jackson racing supercharger and a 100 shot of nitrous down the track before it went KABOOM!
