first design up what it is going to look like.

then get some cool mofo like my brother to make you up some kick ass form blocks out of mdf or wood.

make a pattern out of paper to wrap around the block.

trace the pattern onto some sheet aluminum. in this case 16 guage.

cut that fucker out!

form it over the block with a rubber mallet and some clamps.

weld the seam where there won't be a hole.

weld the pipe on, then weld it to the core.

use a hammer to make sure there are no gaps.

Buy a couple thousand worth of tig welding ish.

Have a brother that makes weird balso wood projects.

Being a production welder for a couple years. Turn up the heat and step on the pedal harder. This will help burn in the filler metal into the base. Sorry, it's not going to the moon, looks great. By the way your flange was great.
