how to make this td04L work

well i scored this td04 yesterday for free...traded it for a brand new nitrous kit that was given to me...the guy said it was off a wrx, but it has a mitsubishi symbol in the exhaust housing...its oil and water cooled...but anyways i was lookin at it tryin to figure out how to bolt it u...theres only 1 way to do it and the outlet on the cold side is going to be facing straight into the radiator and dam near touching it...so im guessing im gunna have to get a smaller radiator off a eg or somethin...its also a 3 bolt so what are my options as fas as manis go???is there a mani that i can use and make an adapter plate???the waste internal wastegate is welded shut so i need a mani that has an external wastegate..this s going in a 91 STD hatch with a DOHC zc

= ;D
clock the turbo to point it either up or down.
you may have to modify the wastegate location

remove the brass v-band clamp so you can rotate the center section to point the oil return down (you'll have to grind the locating pin on one side of the housing). get a VERY strong pair of c-clip pliers and remove the clip from the cold side so you can rotate that in whatever direction you want (you'll have to grind off the locating pin on that side as well). now you'll have to get creative on how you mount the wastegate actuator, but just mount it in such a way that the actuator arm is running parallel to the same line that it was running before and then take a piece of ange iron and twist one of the ends to connect the actuator arm to the wastegate flapper arm. doing it this way will allow it to function as normal and hold boost.

making an adapterplate isn't too hard. if you don't care about a/c then get the bmc plate (i don't think he made it a/c compatible) or go to www.uniquemotorsports.com to get the turbine inlet flange to make your own adapterplate.

id go external gate and call it a day. i cant get you a bracket that seals the flapper shut. With a well flowing exhaust, the stock flapper is known to allow some boost creep.

thanks man, that helped me out alot..im not worried about a/c or p/c because my car didnt come with them from the factory anyways :-)
