How hot does the oil return temp get?

Default How hot does the oil return temp get?

What topic says, does anyone have an estimate? Is it over or under 400F?? for a 14b turbo. thanks.

not sure about the temp, but dont use jb weld... it goes liquid at 600 degrees. anyway, i checked out the silicone coupler prices, you still want some?

so does that mean it gets to around 600F? :P
How much were the couplers?

I doubt your oil goes over 300 degrees. The Autometer oil temputure guages only read to 250. And as for not using JB weld.. I am using it on my oil return/oil pan fitting. Not one single problem or complant..

I've always been told that at 300 degrees your oil starts cooking and then bakes itself to your feed line and so on...it shouldn't ever get that hot. unless you make a full throttle run and shut the car down right away...and then it only gets that hot because its not circulating. (a good way to ruin a turbo)
