Ok, I want my gauge lights to come one when I trun my headlights on, I know I can tap into my wire behind my speedometer that turns my dash lights on, but I wasn't sure if it would be too much of a load to tap three gauges into that one wire. Someone told me once I could do it into the fuse box, but I'm not sure how. any suggestions?

 

use the fuse box underneath the dash

attach wire directly to the fuses that open ur lights

 

you mean, stick the wires into the fuse box, then put the fuse back over the wire to clamp it in?? Little ghetto.

 

i use that fuse box that way for my radio

works great

u just need to attach the wire on one of the fuse legs

the thinner the wire the easier

 

I used the illumination lead for my stereo. It works great.

 

I used my cruise control button wiring... Popped it out of the dash and started testing wires. Works great because I never use it (except for the gauges).

 

wires stuffed into fuses = super ghetto.

I'd say the easiest way is to run a wire from your gauge into the engine compartment, and tag into the corner light. Corner light come on = gauge light come on.

 

stereo illumination would work... but woudnt they shut off when u shut the radio off? i tapped mine into one of the wires for the small bulbs above the cluster... they were for aftermarket gauges o i didnt even need those bulbs

 

i put my boost gauge light into my AMP turn on lol

 

i usually hook it up to the dimmer switch so it dims with the dash n ----
