how hard is it to cut a stealth mode return line??

well i found out that my return line does not "slope" to the oil pan and i know that is bad for the turbo, so now i need to shortin the return line and i was told it's real tough to cut. what tool would i need to cut the line? could garden sheers work?? thanks for any help

I put tape around the line that I was going to cut. Then i squeezed it into a vice as tight as possible and cut through the tape with a hack saw. Worked fine.

The SS lines can be a bitch to cut with sheers or anything like that. What you might wanna do is tape off the line where you are gonna cut it and take a dremel with a small cut off wheel and just go around the line until you cut the hose all the way around.

Do it off the car!

Otherwise, there is the possibility that you'll get metal filings and hose bit into your oil.

I'm guessin that stealthmode's lines are pretty much AN line...best bet is the vise trick, and put a piece of masking tape around the area you want to cut, and then use a fine tooth hacksaw or dremel tool. The reason for the tape is to keep the outer "mesh" from ripping and stretching out of place. You ever get cut by that stuff? Those suckers are sharp ::)
