I used to run a knock off type s,
Sounded good at 8psi or better with the set screw loosened all the way out but compressor surges like a mofo at anything lower than 8psi.

Knock off type-s for my cheap ass- no problems.

I have a knock off typ-rs has worked great for a year now. Sounds great too. All I did was change the O-ring on the plunger to a slightly smaller one. The O-ring that came on it was too big and it leaked a lil. No leaks now though.
