How does a RRR work?

I have always been curious how exactly does a Rising Rate Regulator work?
Same with the diaphrams that are inserted in?
I understand that it raises the fuel pressure when it sees boost.

Basically as more boost pushes on the diaphram, the diaphram pushes harder on a plunger that blocks the fuel flow. Keep in mind that the FMU is hooked up to the fuel system return line, so as it blocks the flow of fuel under boost, the fuel pressure goes up.
