how did you mount your intercooler

well, i'm in the middle of my intercooler/charge pipe install, so of course i have questions.

How did you guys bolt the brackets from your IC onto your bumper support? I say this because if you drill a hole, you can't get to the inside of the support to screw on a nut. Did you guys just drill all the way thru the support, then run a super long bolt all the way thru?

Pics would help.

what you do is drill a big hole infront of the bolt your using for the intercooler on the front of the bumper support and then you can place a nut with a lock washer through that hole and on top of the bolt that's going through the bottom of the bumper support and tighten the bolt from the bottom, vwala! just like magic! that's how i did mine, just using 2 bolts to hold up the intercooler.

3 black zip ties on each side with a bolt to help them to not slide.

Not yellow, not red, not white, and not blue, BUT BLACK zip ties!

my dad has this cool ass tool the creates threaded sockets. you drill a hole in the bumper, put a internally threaded rivot in, then use a socket wrench to expand it so it stays in. pretty sweet!!

The tabs on my CCA FMIC were far enough out that I could just drill through one layer of metal, as it was exposed pretty good. If that makes any sense?

I drilled two holes on each side of the intercooler tabs. Then I held it up to the car, marked on the bumper support where I wanted the screws to attach, tapped them with a small drill bit, put the intercooler back up where I wanted it, and then screwed it in with 2" hex head screws. Worked like a charm.
