Default Horrible Smoke

Hey im having a problem with my new d15 block, it has a really bad smoke at and above 3000 rpms, but it doesnt really smoke below that, i did a compression test on the motor, and it came across pretty good, it was 160 160 150 160. this is a mini me swap, (d15 block D16z6 head), and you have to take the oil pressure jet out of the back of block for the vtec to work. If anyone has any ideas of what the hell would make this smoke so bad you could hardly see behind you, only above 3000 rpms, and even when im just keeping a steady throttle it does this. it has a new headgasket also. Thanks -Ben

by saying NEW, i would say did you re-hone the cylinder walls? if you didn't and used used or even new pistons they might be bypassing a little, almost like fried piston rings.. thats why your compression # seem low to me. just what i think.. let other people think of the situation
