hope i can use this

alright here it goes. my friend just bought a wrecked 95 ex today w/ everything for $700,hell of a deal. so he is going to put the engine, ecu, cluster, etc in his dx. i was wondering if the d15b7 thats in his car now would bolt right into my 91 crx dx. thy only thing i can think of is dpfi to mpfi swap to make this thing work right? and i have heard this engine isnt the best platform, but im thinking a 130,00 mile b7 is better than my 240,00 mile b2.
i am thinkin about a vtec head and low boost probly like 6-8 psi. please tell me if this engine is worth messing with. i hope so cuz hes probly going to sell it to me for like 100-200 bucks w/ the tranny. thanx for ur help.

Hmmm..it's better than what you have, but it is a weak motor. The rods are super skinny and the crank bearingsa re smaller. I ran one for a while. It did fine, pulled hard. Go for it. :-\

Well, if its outta a 92+ civic, i think thats what the b7's are from, then the tranny will not work for you unless you can come up with a cable to hydro conversion for the d-series. But you can just use your dx tranny, it will bolt right up. And you dont need to do a df=mpfi swap, you can just use YOUR intake mani, but i would do the swap if you want to use a vtec head and go turbo, and gonna have fun with teh dpfi.
