hondata intake manifold gasket?
I dont know if this goes in the FI section or the Hybrid section...but-
http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=951429
Im reading on these hondata intake manifold gaskets and finding that they lower the intake manifold temps by almost 60 degrees.
anyone used these or...
$60 for a gasket kinda seems a little steep but it miht be worth it IMO. I am also seeing pro-fab for around $40. both have there pro's and con's, some people sayin they dont line up, some people say they line up great!
whats the HMT input?
also...good info.

Re:hondata intake manifold gasket?
wow noob, wasn't there a thread just like this about two weeks ago
heat soak is pretty detrimental to power loss, i suggest anything that helps even a little. i lost 12 whp on back to back runs on the dyno b/c of heat soak. i've heard they work good, they do what they were designed for, some people don't think it's worth it, but it does what it does and i think it's worth it.

Re:hondata intake manifold gasket?
The hondata gasket is made of some type of special plastic that doesn't transfer heat from the head to the manifold. I'm not sure on what type of plastic it is, but if somebody knew what the material was they could easily make these.
