Ha ha haaa Honda is trying to compete with Mazda's new Cx-7. Zoom Zoom!
http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...r=upcomingCX7\
I don't like the turbo design. It seems neat, but it won't work after a few thousand miles when things get stickey. Mazda had a similar shudder valve in the S4 Rx-7 and they got rid of it for a normal twin scrool and it spooled way better. Shoot s4 owners just take the valve out and the turbo spools better. LOL!

Re: honda's first stock turbo - THE POWER OF DREAMS

But according to MotorTrend it outdoes the BMW X3 in all categories, so they're slowly nearing their BMW-killing status.
And 260 torque STOCK, and at 4500 RPM?? That's bad-ass.

Not to mention it has a handling package not seen since the prelude's demise. The SH, and now in SH-AWD form.

Plus they first brought us the K, and now a K with a turbo, MADE by honda. I just want to see this turbo's preformance in the long run, as i have high faith in honda to it's fullest.

They need more sports cars though. One with a nice RWD 4-seater (not 4-door), and at least some more 'honda-looking.' The new civic is slightly odd compared to the normal civic facia, which made my lust for the 06 RSX rise as the new civic was unvieled. Nice numbers and technology, but under the hood of a like-able yet un-honda-esque appearance.

The Fit is GO though!!

But I guess I'll learn to live with it and stick to the pre 06' models.
(But killing the NSX, AND RSX?? WTF!?!?)

Edit: And as far as the Mazda w/e SUV thing goes, I think the Acura's chizled, executive, yet sporty design looks alot nicer.
The mazda reminds me of a weird slug that can go fast, and has the aerodynamics to show for it, lol.

So which other american honda's were boosted?

I think it's pretty sweet. I really like the turbo in those things. Give's good spool time/tq and also give great high end power as well. Great design

260 foot pounds CRANK, through an AWD system. and its an suv... who the ---- uses a car, wich its msrp range is somewhere inbetween 30-50 thousand dollars off road.... Its just another yuppie, pretentious, showing off at the golf club fag waggon. TL or RL ftw. RDX is gay sauce.

Re: honda's first stock turbo - THE POWER OF DREAMS

Well of course you wouldn't use it off road or for racing purposes but it's still pretty cool in my opinion. It's still a nice SUV and it's still going to be pretty quick for one as well. And I really like it just for the design of the turbo. Is that a new design or have I just not seen them before...?

Actually the TSX(or was it TL) had a SH-AWD form. Pretty badass car. 300hp methinks if I remember correctly. Heavy as ---- though.

Are the A-specs not handling packages too?

Also what about the CRX AWD?

Re: honda's first stock turbo - THE POWER OF DREAMS

LOL yea i read a few test drive on some magazine last night, they are saying the exhaust/hot side housing has a valve that shinks the exhauts path at low rpm to increase veloicity to help spool up, it starts to built boost at 2K rpm and after certain rpm it opens up to imporve flow, they are saying the engine will pull fomr 2K all the way to redline . and i don`t think it is all time 4WD either, it pretty much work like the RL, sending power to the opposit real wheel when the front tires spins.

heres an online review.
