HOMEMADE Oil Restrictor - 1/8" - 1/8" smashed and re drilled. Work Fine?

I personally have a smoking problem, not your coming cigarette problem. My turbo smokes

When I come to a stop and the oil pressure is 40+psi the turbo smokes like a chimney, smeels like burning oil. I had the problem 2 weeks ago and though it was just more of my motor blowing and dying, swapped in this fresh rebuild motor and it still does it. Ive come to the conclusion it must be the turbo.

My car is running SAE40 oil, oil pressure is usually 80+ when driving, I just like it, dont know why.

Aparently my junkyard t3 .60/.63 doesnt....

What I wanna do

Take a turbo fitting, the 1/8" - 1/8" ones that have a taperred top and a small hole at the top and bottom measuring .118"

I want to smash the top of this fitting, crush it right down ontop of itself and redrill the hole. How small I dont know, maybe .045"

I know this is the cheap way to do it but Im in a bind for time and cant stand billowing smoke coming out of my car, and its a junkyard turbo so Im happy as long as its getting oil.

Also my center section doesnt seem to tighten down very well anymore, I can tighten 4 of the 6 bolts and I can still grab and FORCEFULLY spin the compressor housing and cartridge around in the exhaust housing. Could this be causing the smoking problem aswell?

Need some advise

the turbo fitting with the tapered top is usually a 3 or 4an fitting. you dont want to mess up the taper because that's what seals the connection.
why not go to osh or home depot, lowes, etc. get a 1/8 brass needle valve. get a 90 degree 1/8" also.
It should be about $7 total. You can figure it out once you see what they have available.

Its a 4an

Im pretty sur ethe threads with the teflong tape on them would seal perfect still wouldnt it?

The fitting already in 90*

What size hole would I go with?

JIC(tapered) fittings seal on the taper. they arent meant to seal with teflon on the threads. im sure it MIGHT work, but why risk it when you can get a Function7 restrictor for like $17 off ebay?

I would just go by a hose shop and pick up a .060 restricor. That is what i did it was really easy and install was roughly 97 seconds.

Well I like my way of doing it, adds no fittings to the lines and was quite easy

Probably took me a 1/2 hour because of the tight spacing to get everything out, hammerred/drill and then put back in with teflon

All I had to do was hit it on the top with a hammer a few times and it actually made a .015" hole, i thought that was to small so i just stabbed it a few times til I got .049 and its not a perfect circle so I left it at that
